Editor's take
Apple's titanium-bodied 2023 Pro Max, with a 48MP triple-camera system, up to 10x optical zoom range, and the A17 Pro chip — available here as an Amazon Renewed unit at a substantial discount to a new Pro Max.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max introduced Apple's titanium build, the customizable Action Button, and a 5x telephoto lens for the longest optical zoom range on an iPhone at the time. The A17 Pro chip and ProMotion 120Hz display still hold up well for demanding tasks and gaming, and satellite Emergency SOS and Crash Detection add real safety features.
Buying it Renewed rather than a newer model is a strong way to get titanium-class build quality and a capable camera system at a meaningfully lower price. This listing carries a 90-day warranty, and with 6,691 reviews at 4.0 stars, it has an exceptionally large review base — the most of any single product in this entire catalog — giving unusually reliable insight into what buyers can expect from Renewed condition.
Pros
- Titanium build and 5x telephoto zoom at a discounted Renewed price
- A17 Pro chip still handles demanding tasks and games well
- Satellite Emergency SOS and Crash Detection included
Cons
- Only a 90-day Amazon warranty on this Renewed listing
- One generation behind Apple's current iPhone lineup
- Cosmetic condition varies as with any refurbished device
Ideal for: Buyers who want a titanium Pro Max experience and long telephoto reach without paying current-generation prices.
