How we choose our scores

Every product on CamTech Compare carries two kinds of numbers: manufacturer specifications (scraped from the listing, never altered) and our own 0–10 editorial scores.

Editorial scores

Each score axis (e.g. "Image quality", "Battery life") is derived by mapping the relevant specs onto a 0–10 scale across the range of products we've catalogued in that category, then adjusted by editorial judgment. They are clearly labelled as our opinion, not a manufacturer claim.

We don't crown a "best" product

The comparator highlights the best numeric value in each row so you can see the facts at a glance — it does not declare an overall winner unless you tell us which criteria matter most to you.
