Editor's take
DJI's flagship sub-250g drone, light enough to skip drone registration in many countries while still packing omnidirectional sensing.
Staying under 250g used to mean giving up serious camera quality; the Mini 4 Pro is the drone that broke that trade-off, with the same obstacle-avoidance suite as DJI's larger drones in a body light enough to avoid registration requirements in many regions (always check local rules).
It gives up the Air 3's second telephoto lens and some range, but for travel-first pilots the size and weight savings usually win.
Pros
- Under 250g — no registration required in many regions
- Omnidirectional obstacle avoidance
- Excellent image quality for its size
Cons
- Shorter range than the Air 3
- Single focal length camera
Ideal for: Travelers and beginners who want DJI's obstacle-avoidance tech in the smallest legal package.
Reviews
Reviewers love the weight class and safety features; some want the Air 3's second lens.
